Teaming up with Outlook and Microsoft Pay, small businesses will now be able to get paid through emails.

Xero customers who send digital invoices with Stripe as their payment service will soon be able to get paid quickly and easily through Outlook.

Our latest partnership means that we are now Receipt Bank Bronze Partners.

Receipt Bank provides a receipt and invoice processing service that gathers together your receipts and invoices, scans them, converts the receipts into useful data and then sends them directly into Xero.

Receipt Bank extracts all the relevant information from the receipt/expense but has clever features such as identifying which bank account you have paid from using the 4 digits of your card on the receipt. It then matches that payment to the relevant bank account in Xero. Uploading receipts for processing anywhere in the world is easy via email, the web, or use the Smartphone app to send receipts on the move.

If you have a Business PayPal account, you can set up an automatic bank feed in Xero. New transactions are imported every 24 hours. If you use multiple currencies in PayPal, then you can import each currency separately using Xero’s multi-currency capability, powered by XE.com.

PayPal bank feeds are far superior than importing your PayPal statements manually. As you may have experienced, PayPal statements have the tendancy of having line items in there that do not actually affect your balance. When you import this into Xero it can become difficult to reconcile the bank. To keep your accounts clean, Xero will only import transactions that change your PayPal balance – so you don’t need to deal with credit card purchases on your PayPal account or with currency conversions.
